How did Emirates Health Services use the Design System 1.0?

Emirates Health Services (EHS) was established with the aim of enhancing the efficiency of the federal health sector in the United Arab Emirates, by providing health care and treatment services. It is also their goal to take preventive measures and combat epidemics and diseases - all while achieving a sustainable development path of health care in the country.

The Telecommunication and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) released version 1.0 of the Design Language System in late 2021. EHS was among the first entities that implemented the Design Language System (DLS) version 1.0.

The purpose of any design system is to create consistency and provide a unified framework for organisations and connected entities to implement, eventually leading to a cohesive user experience.

EHS found the design system released by the TDRA to be a clean, consistent and user-friendly approach towards building websites for federal government entities. They adopted the guidelines and started working on implementing the design system for their website - www.ehs.gov.ae
